A cosy and slightly relaxed fit beanie with a big turn up hem. The easy and interesting colourwork pattern is knit in the round using knit and purl stitches to form a textured colour work pattern. It is inspired by the wild flowers that dot in the meadows high on the moors in the summer.

The pattern was designed for the WoolCircle Yarn, produced from the Lonk and Whitefaced Woodland Sheep that live high above the Calder valley. A truly sustainable yarn, spun in Yorkshire and dyed from natural dyes.

Gauge / Tension

Knitted on 4 mm needles in the round Tension = 22 stitches to 10cm, 21 rows to 10cm in the main pattern section after blocking

The hat has a final circumference of 56 cm and a height of 19 cm including a generous brim.

The kit contains 1 skein of Lonk natural DK (100g) and mini skeins (25g) of colours moss crop and poppies, and the pattern with full instructions.
