Yarn yardage and exciting samples!

Hi everyone,

We're really excited that you are all starting to receive your yarn packages, and it's fantastic to see that you are just as excited as us to see what beautiful things can be made from our Lonks and Whitefaced Woodlands!

Just jumped on here to update you with a little bit of info about the different yarn hank lengths and to show you some beautiful pictures of some of the samples Nic has been knitting up on her machine!

All measurements are based on the 100g hanks (and are an approximate estimate!)

Lonk 4ply = 460m/492yds

Lonk DK = 230m/251yds

Whitefaced Woodland 4ply = 480m/524yds

Whitefaced Woodland DK = 240/262yds

We'd love to see some of your creations, and how you are finding working with the yarn, if you're over on Instagram (we're @woolcircle) and would like to tag us in any pictures, we'd love to follow your progress! If you'd like to see others working with the same yarns on different projects we'd love to start a few hashtags to collate them together - #projectlonkprogress or #woolcircleworkings are the ones we'll be adding to!

We have been making exciting progress on the website, and hope to develop this as a wool community further in the coming year...we'll keep you updated!

And now for the first few images of testing out the Lonk 4ply (2/10nm) on her domestic standard gauge knitting machine using the tuck stitch function for patterning - her overview so far is "it goes through the machine like a dream and has really good stitch definition and a lot of spring to it"!

More progress shots will follow ...
